Real Estate News April 2020
One thing we've all grown accustomed to over these last several weeks is that the rules are always cha-cha-changing. Three weeks ago not only could Realtors® not show homes, but home inspections couldn't be completed either.
Just over two weeks ago, home inspectors were deemed essential and inspections began again, but with the caveat that buyers could not be present. ⠀In the last week (even as restrictions increased in Michigan), the law is now allowing for buyers to attend home inspections on a property they are under contract on as long as the home inspector and seller both approve it.⠀
This is great news for buyers who go under contract on a home, but haven't been able to see it. ⠀Again, just to be clear--this is not home inspectors showing homes instead of real estate agents, but rather an opportunity for buyers under contract to view the home they are purchasing and to be educated by the inspector. ⠀
⠀
This is good news if you have been hesitant to buy a home sight unseen, but also don't want to miss out on the opportunities that are out there. ⠀This is also good news for home sellers as it will make it more possible for potential buyers to make offers on their home while listed during the stay at home order. ⠀
⠀
Together we will keep moving forward to make your dream of a new home possible, while always keeping safety and obedience to the law a top priority. ⠀
Reach out if you are contemplating buying a home so we can chat more specifically about your options and how we can help make the process as [virtually] smooth as possible!⠀
